Socks for Living

Australian company Socks for Living needed some high quality photographs of their stock for their online catalogue. The Melbourne based business have created a website dedicated solely to products that are extremely high quality from around the globe. Importing only the best in socks, tights and hosiery for an exclusive Australian online service.

Delivering accurate colour balanced and detailed images was integral to the shoot as customers are able to zoom in on the images and examine the quality of the socks online.

I was commissioned to create some banners for the site to bring some colour and creativity to the pages while staying in branding guidelines.

Katrina Rhodes

Remarkable International Graphic Designer and Artist Katrina Rhodes commissioned me to take some shots of her work for her upcoming show.

Katrina is an immensely talented artist combining conceptual whimsy with an incredible eye for intricate detail-detail we wanted to capture and reproduce. Colour and even light was integral to this being a successful shoot.

Gavin Draper

Head Chef and owner of Repertoire Catering, Gavin needed some shots of his organic food and cocktail menu. He was clear about not wanting any photographic tricks-just realistic photos of his organic products. This was very important for his branding and his commitment to natural and organic foods.

Gavin has a great sense of humour we wanted to capture this in his portraits, so it was fun to combine these (cheeky/quirky) photos with some serious publicity shots.

Laura Day

Is a successful artist and teacher who owns and runs a Melbourne based screen printing studio. Laura was looking to redo her website and create a blog and needed some striking images to take her business to the next level.

We spoke extensively about her business as it was important to Laura that we create a series of photographs that capture the important elements of her work. She needed playful portraits as well as more traditional ones, (for press releases and marketing etc). She also needed a series of images that would demonstrate the process of her classes without divulging her hard earned secrets!
